DPO Pays Hospital Bills for 5-year Old Kerosene Explosion Victim


The Divisional Police Officer in charge of Uruan Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom State, Superintendent of Police Felix Ekpoudom has rescued and taken care of taken care of the hospital bills of a 5-year-old kerosene explosion victim, Master Ezekiel Okon.

Ekpoudom said the accident took place in Bakassi Local Government Area, Cross River State, and that he decided to rescue the boy from his because he was from a poor home and that the parents couldn’t afford to pay for his medical treatment. He ordered that the victim should be rushed to the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital (UUTH) for treatment.

Ekpoudom is the same Divisional Police Officer who trended during the 2021 Christmas holidays for feting with suspects in custody, giving them food and drinks to celebrate the season.

Master Ezekiel was admitted at UUTH and he is responding to treatment. He will be undergoing a series of operations this week. Considering the cost implication of such operation, spirited individuals, philanthropists, NGOs, and lovers of humanity are please requested to lend their support to save the life of little MASTER EZEKIEL UBONG OKON.
