Innovation Support Network (ISN Hubs), a not-for-profit organization formed by Hub owners to support them with policy advocacy; creating linkages between corporates, academia, funders, and development partners as well as promoting structures that drive Hub sustainability has nominated Mr. Johnson Hanson, the CEO of Start Innovation Hub into its board as the Director of Ecosystem.
The Network announced on Thursday its appointment of Johnson to the position.
Johnson is the founder and CEO of Start Innovation Hub, one of the foremost incubation centers in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. He is a graduate of Electrical Electronics Engineering (Communication Engineering Option) from Federal University of Technology Owerri, Nigeria, and holds Android Developer Nanodegree from Udacity.
He has contributed to the development of the technology ecosystem in Nigeria as a Software Engineer, ecosystem builder, manager, Mentor and Country Mentor.
As Country Mentor of Google Developer Groups (GDGs) in Nigeria, He has worked with the Developer Relations Team at Google to ensure developer welfare, access to content, engineering support from Google, and support for members to build sustainable technology ecosystems in their local communities.
In October 2018, he worked as Nigeria’s in-country “Analyst and Facilitator” Consultant for DAI Inc, United Kingdom, supporting the UK-based Digital Access Teams (DFID, FCO, GCS and DCMS) of the United Kingdom and the Prosperity Team in UK High Commission in Nigeria during the Digital Access Programme diagnostic, scoping and engagement work on catalysing digital inclusion in Nigeria.
As the Director of ISN’s of Ecosystems, he will be coordinating quarterly ecosystem events, communications, engagement, and partnerships among hub members.
