It is true that every parent dreams that their offspring will be successful in one way or the other. In most cases, it is seen as a great accomplishment when your children decide to take up the same career path you have chosen for yourself. One of the best ways to get a child interested in a career is to expose them to the kind of work their parents do.
Barrister Fidel Albert, a Lagos-based lawyer, recently tried to do this by making sure he visited the court with his three daughters so they could see what it looks like and decide if they want to follow in his footsteps.
According to Mr. Albert, he has been having a hard time convincing his daughters to think of taking up the wig in the future. So as a last resort he decided to bundle them before a judge last week in a bid to convince at least one of them to become a lawyer like him and their grandfather but unfortunately, the strategy didn’t work out.
Relating the experience on his Facebook post Mr. Fidel wrote;
“Well, as a last resort, I was constrained to bundle them before a Judge, all in a bid to convince at least one of them to become a lawyer like their father, and their grandfather before him.
“The Judge suspended sitting for a few minutes, called them up to the Bench, and did his very best to decree Law upon them. I gained nothing at the end, I must say, except for these photos. Because they still said no.
Here are some hilarious comments made by his friends on his post,
- Mbebe Albert : Hahahaha! Looks like what I put my dad through. They will come around. Don’t worry!
Nsikak Ekpenyong: Smart children, neither their father nor a revered Judge could push them down a wrong path! Kudos to the little ones!
- Eli Mutum: Your loss bro sorry just go get them ice cream thereafter and tell them that’s how it is everyday after court and see the change of mind …who no like ice cream
